As a general counselor, you will work with a specific group of children for the entire summer. It is your responsibility to provide a physically and emotionally safe environment for campers to grow and learn. You’ll have a lot of opportunity to bond with campers, and participate with them in a broad range of athletics, crafts and cultural activities. Group counselors remain with the campers in their groups for the entire day, become famililar with the personal requirements of each camper (i.e., allergies, swim level), know their campers’ personality traits and any pertinent information provided by their parents, assist at lunch, and act as role models for their campers by demonstrating the highest levels of excellence and morality.
Counselors supervise a group of children. They are required to run, play, swim and care for children. Our counselors are dynamic, enthusiastic and upbeat.
