Working with us at Camp North Star will change your life! Being a part of the Camp North Star staff means that you are part of something larger than yourself. You are a rock star, a best friend, a sister, a brother and possibly the coolest person on earth to our campers. Our campers will leave feeling great about themselves, more self-confident and more independent because of you. There is no better reward than at the end of the session when your camper is hugging you good-bye with tears in his or her eyes.
Our camp staff members are much more than employees. You are quickly swept up into the family tree of Camp North Star. Steven and Brooke, our Owners/Directors, along with their leadership team are there for you every step of the way. They are friends, mentors and your family for your time at camp.
The Camp North Star staff is the best possible team of professionals in the business. We have a high standard of excellence for ourselves and each other. We are serious about our taking care of our campers, making sure each person at camp feels safe and valued and we have fun every day doing it.
Our medical staff is on site and available 24 hours a day. Our registered nurses tend to any and all of our health needs. Whether it’s reminding our campers to wear sunscreen during the day, putting band-aids on a scraped knee, making tummy aches better or supporting any and all other health needs such as managing medication. Our nurses are there for campers, staff and parents every step of the way.
Camp North Star’s medical staff is supported by the camp’s pediatrician who is on-call and available
Registered Nurse License. If you are licensed in a state other than Maine, we cover the cost of a temporary Maine nurse license. Prior experience working with youth is a plus.
